The Cautious Skeptic has a strong sense of Korean-Asian identity, as they have woven Korean artists throughout their CIAB. Their parents shelter and protect them. The teen shares with the listener that this protection has trapped them in place. Uncertain about where their life will lead them, they are ready for their journey.

How Did We Create the CIAB (The Detailed Music Analysis)
The Cautious Skeptic's Past
A sheltered teen who has been protected by their parents, has this teen feeling stuck in place. The teen has a strong sense of Korean-Asian identity as they have woven Korean artists throughout their Cultural Identity Audio-Biography.
The past begins with the K-Pop song. Gangnam Style by PSY. At the time the teen was young, this song was a viral hit. It epitomized the new Korean youth culture of wealthy teens who hung around the ultra-rich district of Gangnam. Gangum is considered the Beverly Hills of Korea. The song is energetic and represents the happy and upbeat memories of many ten’s childhoods. Bar Code by HAON and Vinxen encompasses how the teen portrays a superficial facade but they feel pressure from growing up –
(Beep and next beep and next Please take the receipt for our memories)
(I feel like my unsteady walk is me.)
(Being stuck in a deep swamp is much more natural to me)
(I don’t know how it feels to be in a swamp, but you can go To an unknown place beyond the horizon)
The past ends with the teen reminiscing their childhood through the song On Melancholy Hill by Gorillaz-
There’s a plastic tree, Are you here with me?,
Just looking out on the day,
Of another dream.
The Cautious Skeptic's Present
The present is ushered in with a quote from Adventure Time where the maincharacter, Fin, does not want to grow up. –
To live life you need problems…
That’s stupid!
For the cautious skeptic, they want a life free from drama and difficulty. The present is followed by the Korean song, Fragrance by Vinxen, a song with a soft piano and mellow beat that focuses on facing heartbreak
(I don’t know what to do,)
(I can’t get my hands on it, should)
(I put my soul in a glass cup and break it?)
(Thud, thud, your embrace in the depths of the sea)
My everything, You are still my everything
I’d make good cry
(It’s not just words)
I can give you everything
Pretend okay without you
In the song The Fall by half alive, there is a sense of fear of falling love
Oh, I’m just tryna’ introduce you
To this idea that I’ve grown used to It’s like sharing a dream with someone
Once you say it out loud, it can’t be undone
I’d jump off and into your arms
But I can’t trust the fall
Further, in the song:
It’s like waking up in surgery
I can’t seem to see right past the lights and
I’m So scared to take a knife to my chest
Let you see the heart that’s inside
Oh, I’m just tryna’ introduce you
To this idea that I’ve grown used to
It’s like sharing a dream with someone
Comparing this fear of vulnerability to the pain of a knife conveys how important love is to them and how much trust is needed for them to open up.
The Cautious Skeptic's Future
There is a fear that their life may end too quickly. There are fears of the loss of youth, the uncertainty that comes with raising children, and their legacy after they are gone. (the French song Papaoutai by Stromae)
Quoi, qu’on y croit ou pas, (Even if we believe it or not,)
Il y aura bien un jour (There’ll be a day we won’t)
où on n’y croira plus, (believe it anymore,)
Un jour où l’autre on sera tous papa, (One day we’ll all be dads,)
Et d’un jour à l’autre, (And from one day to the)
on aura disparu (other we’ll disappear)
Serons-nous détestables? (Will we be hated?)
Serons-nous admirables? (Will we be admired?)
The cautious skeptic uses Maestro by CHANGMO to express the shallowness of material things and the need to not get stuck in the life they reference in the last song.
방금 나의 라인을 듣고 너는 말해 내가 f(You listen to my line just now and say I’m) English: Fucked up
(But rather than being locked up by life,)
English: locked up
될바엔 (by life)
(I’d rather plunge right into the risks)
(As the kid that dreamed played the piano wrapped in vinyl)
(I’m knew my voice would be my moneymaker)
(I dug a huge pit in the neighborhood ground with music)
(And declared that my confidence was my classic image
There is also a sense of regret that might occur for a lost love in Really Want to Stay at Your House by Hallie Coggins and Rosa Walton
Another evening I’ll be sitting reading in between your lines
Because I miss you all the time
The sense of trying to hold on, to go back, to stay.
‘Cause I really wanna stay at your house
And I hope it all works out
But you know how much you broke me apart
I’m done with you,
I’m ignoring you
I don’t wanna know, ahh
The cautious skeptic’s CIAB ends with a quote from the Movie Inception – You’re waiting for a train.
A train that will take you far away.
You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can’t know for sure.
Yet it doesn’t matter.
Now, tell me why?
The quote in the movie is about when the lead character was caught in limbo. There are many ways to interpret this quote, but it seems that for this teen it may be about losing a sense of their identity, their purpose, forgetting why they are there but knowing they are waiting for something. Cautiously waiting for the unknown.
